1. The marketplace
Simchabook is a curated marketplace that introduces families to event halls. We are the matchmaker only. We do not own the halls, we do not cater the events, and we are not a party to the booking contract between you and the hall.
2. Hall responsibility
The hall is fully and solely responsible for the venue, the event, the catering, the menu, the staff, the cleanliness, the schedule, and any disputes that arise from the event itself. All hall information shown on Simchabook is maintained by the hall.
3. Bookings and deposits
A booking is not confirmed until the hall accepts your request — the date is held once the hall accepts, not the moment you submit. Once the hall accepts, the deposit becomes due according to the hall's stated payment method and window. The deposit is non-refundable except where the hall agrees otherwise or where required by law.
4. Commission
Simchabook charges the hall a commission on every accepted booking. You do not pay any fee on top of what the hall would normally charge you.
5. Off-platform contact
To keep the marketplace fair (and to keep your booking covered by our messaging and dispute records), phone numbers, emails, and outside-contact links are hidden in messages until the hall accepts your booking.
6. Cancellations
Cancellation policy is set by each hall. Always confirm the cancellation terms with the hall before paying the deposit.
7. Reviews
Only booked, confirmed customers can leave reviews. Reviews are public and may not be removed except where they violate community standards.
8. Disputes
Disputes about the event, catering, or venue are between you and the hall. Simchabook may help mediate but is not legally responsible for the outcome.
